Human-centred design thinking has unblocked barriers to adoption and unlocked tremendous value for Kaleidoscope's customers with multiple micro product sprints.
A key multinational client made significant investment into Kaleidoscope to help map their digital technology operations, surfacing critical insights across all their cloud entities, a niche vastly underserved. However, users found it hard to navigate the tools and extract the potential value its brilliant engineering delivered. Following a human-centred redesign, new user journeys were launched that surfaced actionable insights to executive and engineer stakeholders, increasing user engagement and perceived customer value.

Qualitative research with both the stakeholders and customers helped define the problems to overcome, design principles and archetypes to solve for and decide which features to cut, keep and create. We led research interviews across stakeholders and customers that clarified the target users, their needs and pain points.
Rapid prototyping and testing with customers created a rich body of evidence to help stakeholders decide what needed to be kept, created and cut. We co-created workflows that harnessed existing AI capabilities to drive faster task completion, user delight and faster adoption, moving the tool from novelty to a must-have.
Kaleidoscope’s redesigned abilities reveal the full picture of potential problems such as data vulnerabilities, cloud outages, and incorrect data configurations across all cloud providers and instances. The new journeys create swift paths to action, based on the customer’s rich data set.
